After a relaxing and nice trip to Japan, which had been promised by Father Bunny, I am back to my home city

Father Bunny sent me back to the Japanese school. That is going to be hard, specially in summer time. It is so hot right now . I would like to sit at home, drink a soda and just relax.

But, that´s life.

Well, in the last two weeks, I have been reading Haiku. Haiku are like very short poems. I discovered looking on the JAL webpage that if I write a really nice Haiku, may be, I can win a trip to Japan. How exciting ! But, I do not dare so far to write Haiku.

At the same time, I started ORIGAMI. I bought some nice colourful papers and I thought that Origami was about to bend some papers in a nice way and that is it. Well, it has taken me a long time to be able to have some nice ORIGAMI work. But, finally, I managed two of them and I shared them with my family .

Today a Triathlon for breakfast.

[ENG] FB and Draculina went to Mar Bella Beach were people were swimming, cycling and running. Father bunny is still training for the Marathon and he has no plans to compete in a Tri event.

We were there just to take pictures and we took there our "beast" with quite good results.

About my sister, and my laziness

Lately I must reckon that all my blogging efforts are over Miffu and Father Bunny’s shoulders.

As you surely know my twin sister has arrived from HK. I didn’t even know that I had one twin sister. When Miffu and Father Bunny told me that they have hired a private eye from HK to follow some clues they have had over the time I was shocked.

After almost two weeks spending all my time with my sister, sometimes I wonder if this is not just a dream. Two sisters that were separated when born and lived a very different life for the past four years.

It’s like in one of Mother Bunny’s favourite movies: Woody Allen’s Match Point. Fate and destiny depend on fragile pieces. Sometimes it makes a big difference to stay on one side of the line or another one.

Who was in the right side and who was in the wrong side is difficult to determine. For sure my sister has not lived an easy life during past years.

Miffa is 3 years old.

Three years ago in Hong Kong Island centre a nice little bunny was in a dark warehouse with other bunnies. They were waiting for someone to adopt them.

The first time I saw her picture I knew that I needed to take her back to Barcelona. I convinced Mother Bunny and on January the second we were in Fortress filling the paperwork. First the attendant offered me another bunny but my determination was very strong and I politely ask him for Miffa.

At the beginning Miffa has no name but we decided to name her like this during her first month in our house. Then Miffa grew up and she wanted to have a blog to write about her life and to place pictures of her adventures.

In her first birthday he returned to Hong Kong and we adopted her sister Miffu. Then many adventures and travel around the world, many friends in many places and last year bunnies coming from Japan for cultural exchange – Kiiroko and Chairoko- and her sister Miffo living in Tokyo.

This year our Café miffy friends from Japan visited us in our new apartment. Yes, Miffa has been living in three different apartments (but now she has their own private room and bath).

After two years trying to be in this fashion trade fair for “some” brands Father Bunny was finally there. I was there with Mother Bunny in the last two editions and we can consider ourselves BBB’s pros.

So, I decided no to go. The shows are the same that in the past editions, most of the stands are the same and – this is the main reason- my sister Miffu has not participate in most of our adventures and she was somehow sad about it.

My family has grown a lot during last year and besides Chairoko and Kiiroko are with us. This is something I love but now we are more bunny explorers.

But, let’s return to the point BBB is a success, no one can doubt it, the shows, the atmosphere, the “flow” are great but three years in a row with the same concept – except for the Fly BBB- warn about something than may be killed the other BBB: lack of new proposals.

If you own several shops – something that its essential to enter some stands- you just call the sales rep and do not queue to enter a stands, may be your attendants do, but surely the owner don’t.

Still people enjoys it as a good place to party, take pictures, see new tendencies, meet old and new friends from other places…

Definitely, a good meeting point and a good source of revenue for the city of Barcelona.

Be re nice (or be just two times nice)

I’ve not a very clear idea about my Father’s business, but I am sure he usually over promises, lies and tries to get the biggest bit from in every occasion.

Ok this is all right .After all I read The Economist, so if our world temperature’s rises a little bit, who cares if my shares are rising. Climate changes are a matter of survival but who cares?

But let’s go to the point… Father Bunny’s associated producer role in all the mesh he did was crucial to guarantee the success. My sister, Miffu, was with her and the art director, in the plane, in the car…. and in their room.

I must admit that after all she is and princess from orient and she is used to, let’s say an easy going life.

Just look at this picture taken in a Palace where she showed her abilities to go downstairs.

Father Bunny told me if I was in the mood for a business trip to Madrid and then to Alicante. But they were a lot of people and I’ve been in Madrid a lot of times, so we decided that Miffu should go.

Father Bunny and Miffu are shaped from the same stone. They prefer to be against the mainstream as a regular basis and they do not care about tradition, they fight about traditions.

But both of them have the rare ability to survive in a hostile environment using their camouflage and speech abilities.

A flight from BCN to MAD, an event in Thyssen museum, a trip to Alicante with a nice Opel Zafira and an icy highway, several parties…

I really think my father and his colleagues are not a good example for my sister….

Lord of war (or even worse marketing)

A little bunny needs a lot of love and care… I really acknowledge that I am a little bit posh and demanding with Father & Mother bunny.

This year has started with all the family moving from a nice place to a less nice place and with my Father Bunny revisiting his worst nightmares, and this obviously has had an impact in Chan Family’s home.

Father Bunny has been unbearable past two weeks because he was in charge of some events. He is quite good in this business and his concepts are outstanding but he really hates the – on field work-

In the Guggenheim he and his crew set up everything in one hour, but still his seek for perfection spirit made him sick when some pieces of this performance were far from perfection.

The perfection – as father bunny told me – has a name and this is the DCR- MKR - Wifi bunnies’ team:

Musik , a computer analyst and great VJ, Cyteck and Alethia, new media designers who took care off all the visuals

Albert , the camera, Alejandra and Bere the PR, Joseph, the Producer , Sergi & Fede ,the music directors who created the theme.

But…

Father Bunny hates events because he was in charge of events several years ago when he was involved in a non mature project for a non mature customer, and he quit from there.

But several years after he did it the same mistake: . Barcelona, Madrid, Alicante, Bilbao.

Father Bunny did not want me to go, but my sister Miffu was in two of them. He bought me a nice Prince of Wales hat. He met Mr Berrope, he achieve a great success, but even though he is not in a goof mood.

But “The End is Coming”

Sleepwalker, fifteen Apple Ipods and Olaf

My sister Miffa was suspicious about Olaf’s night walks. We were thinking all kind of nasty things about his nocturnal excursions, but…

Now we know that he is a sleepwalker.

Today at 6:30 we found a carton box with weird labels and with Olaf’s tentacles mark over it.

• Should we open it? I Said to my sister Miffa.
• Well, it’s the only way to discover what it’s inside the box – she replied

And we opened it, and......we founded 15 Apple ipods!!!!

It seems that many ships in their way from far east to Europe lose part of their cargo and Olaf took vantage of his ability to submerge in the deep blue. (Big octopus live 1500meters / 4.921,26 feet deep)

Or may be while asleep he thought he was a Kraken like in the photoset my sister did.
Anyways, thank you Olaf for this nice present.

Rice cookers and Japanese food. An easy way to do difficult things.

May be it's not the nicest one but it rocks!

Let me introduce myself – although I know that my sister Miffa has already told you about me- I’m Miffu Chan.

Like Miffa I was born in Hong Kong, just one year after her birthday, on January 2nd (2006). Miffa’s ancestors are from HK but my parents were from Japan. I am sure that you know that Mr and Mrs Chan are our step fathers. In fact we have a younger sister called Miff, while Miffe is a friend of Miffa who is living with us too.

Ok, introduction is done. Let’s roll!!

Miffa asked my couple of weeks ago to write an article about rice cooking for dummies, but I was attacked by the “white screen syndrome”. He told me that some nice people she met in a party are really big Japanese food culture fans.

Key ingredient in Asian food is rice, and especially in Japanese maki and sushi rice cooking is critical. I am not a skilled asian cooker – Father Bunny does not want me to cook with fire- but I am quite good cooking rice. I must admit that this is because I have mastered the use of one of the best kitchen aids that any Asian food lover can have: The Rice Cooker.

The unit you can see in the picture was bought by Miffa and Mather Bunny in a Shanghai’s suburb during their first visit to China. The price was 5 euros. You can buy the same unit in a store for no more than 20 euro. More sophisticated (but useless to cook just rice) units from Japanese brands are around 100 euros (They’re made in China)

You just add rice and water and then you press “ON” and wait until the “beep”. Then the device will switch to “warn” mode and the rice will take care of your rice for a while.

Sure the texture is not he same but I bet you it’s better than any Japanese rice a beginner or intermediate wan to be Japanease cooker can done.
